Even though we celebrate love all year round here at the farm (we do host weddings after all!), Valentine’s Day is coming-up and you may be looking for some gift ideas. So whether it’s for a partner, friend or family member, here is our guide to some lovely Valentine’s gifts.
Say it with chocolates or flowers
If you’re looking for a traditional Valentine’s gift, you can’t go wrong with a box of tasty chocolates, or some beautiful flowers! We love Cambridge-based Chocolat Chocolat‘s famous handmade sheet chocolate (the white chocolate with raspberries is one of our favourites) and the Cambridge Confectionary Co‘s Giant Salted Caramel Buttons. Or if you fancy something a little different for your tastebuds, how about Marimba‘s Eton Mess or Lime and Chilli chocolate thins, handmade in Suffolk.
Our floral friend Becky, from Feather & Ferns based at the farm, will also have some lovely fresh bouquets just waiting to brighten someone’s day.
Pink drinks
Raise a glass to celebrate the brilliance of you! Cambridge Wine Merchants have stocked us with a delicious selection, from the Flint Vineyard Charmat Rose, bottled in Norfolk and described as fruity, vibrant, sassy and fun, to the Saint Marc Rose, deliciously soft and juicy, with a touch of pink grapefruit.
If gin is more your thing, we have a Pinkster Gin, made with real raspberries by a small company based locally in Fowlmere, or Adnams Copper House Pink Gin, with flavours of sweet orange peel, flowery hibiscus and vibrant raspberry.
Fancy a cocktail without the faff? Edmund’s Cocktails (of Bury St Edmunds) make it easy peasy with their ready-made cocktails. Try the delightfully sweet Strawberry Daiquiri or the exotic Lychee Martini. Simply add to a cocktail shaker with ice (don’t worry if you don’t have a shaker as you can use a jam jar instead)! And if you prefer your drinks sans alcohol, we have a delicious Grapefruit Paloma, crafted with bittersweet pink grapefruit notes, zesty AF tequila essence and lime.
Homeware goodies
We have a selection of lovely items for the home, from funky tea towels to delicious smelling soaps and bath salts. Set the scene with a Rosewood Vanilla candle, with notes of nutmeg and peony or this fun Love Ya Tobacco and Vanilla soy wax candle. Complete the gift set with a box of these fun matches.
For the writers and planners in your life, a set of two perfectly poised ink pens and a funky notebook will be just the thing!
